Creating Awareness - Krispy Kreme

Grand Opening
We created and executed the grand opening of Rhode Island's inaugural Krispy Kreme, from delivering 500 dozen doughnuts to the media to arranging the donation of a La-Z-Boy recliner for the first customer. Hundreds were waiting for the doors to open and were interviewed by network news stations and print and radio journalists. Newport Daily News columnist Jim Gillis wrote that you would have thought a UFO had landed. Our approach featured: a three-dimensional direct mail piece (a Krispy Kreme alarm clock); a media kit; collateral pieces; and a poster contest that enlisted the support of non-profit organizations.
